The City Show

The second season of The City Show aimed to involve and educate urban activists, popularize grassroots activism and to show the diversity of community and placemaking projects. 20 active citizens from different Belarusian towns compete for the main prize - financial support. The participants took part in educational week, met challenges and implemented their initiatives that aimed to strengthen local communities.
The City Show Prize fund $3,000 has been provided by artist Bill Forester from Cleveland (OH, USA).

2 season 1 episode "Street benches"

The pilot episode shows the first challenge: 20 participants must craft 4 wooden benches for Minsk Design Week together with designers and architects Andrey Koroviansky, Ura Taubkin and Yuri Khovansky.

The second challenge involves participants into beautification initiative together with local community of Osmolovka District in Minsk.

The third challenge dedicated to Minsk Urban Art Festival Vulica Brasil. Participants must design a venue and implement an interactive program for a Brazilain style party at the Shopping Mall. However, they do not have any budget for it.

Participants are working on their projects. They need to conduct research, make a prototype, organize workshops and many more.

Six participants are presenting updated projects and homework results to the Jury. The Jury decides who will receive financial support.
